New pictures of a wanted man in connection with the murder of an 11-year-old girl more than 25 years ago were issued today. Paedophile Raymond Hewlett, 56, was one of seven men targeted in the News Of The World at the weekend. He has a string of convictions for assaulting and raping children.

Now West Yorkshire Police have launched a worldwide hunt for Hewlett, formerly of Todmorden, one of several suspects in the death of Lesley Molseed, from Rochdale, Lancs, in 1975. Her body was found on moors above Ripponden

The first of the new pictures right shows Hewlett's passport photo taken in 1995 in Milan. The other left shows Hewlett with his then German girlfriend, Marianne Schmucker. A spokeswoman said: "She was pregnant at the time and it's possible the two are still together, possibly with a child."

Meanwhile, police were today questioning another convicted paedophile arrested on suspicion of failing to sign the sex offenders' register. Tuan Quang Ho, 25, was detained in south London yesterday following the News Of The World appeal. He was convicted in May 1997 at Kingston Crown Court of two indecent assaults on a 14-year-old girl.

The parents of Sarah Payne were meeting Home Secretary David Blunkett today to discuss their plea for controlled public access to the Sex Offenders' Register. Sara and Michael Payne were being joined by News Of The World editor Rebekah Wade, whose paper has campaigned for the "Sarah's Law" legislation.
